Latest patches

Update #3

· Steam announcement

Crowd-simulation performance, item-duplication and quest fixes, and manager and staff behaviour changes.

  • Performance: improved crowd simulation and animation, fixed performance issues in The Stacks scene (light probes from unloaded scenes were kept in memory) and optimised footprints camera rendering in snow.
  • Fixed the vending machine and composter item duplication glitch, customers who did not leave when the player took orders without the required processors, and cleaning up rotten food when both normal and refrigerated storage held large amounts.
  • Managers restock ingredients in line with the automated Restock Ingredients objective (shown when an ingredient falls below 10) and now gain skill experience for resolving complaints, ordering ingredients and delivering them to storage.
  • The time between ordering and delivery now depends on the manager's level, from 10 seconds down to 4 seconds at max level; the restock notification now appears after delivery.
  • Fixed player footprints in the snow, snow clipping at Fusion Point, lighting issues from the Lighting Details settings and the pause menu's visibility on bright backgrounds.

Update #2

· Steam announcement

Light culling and a Lighting Details slider, staff task priorities, graphics-settings fixes and many bug fixes.

  • Added a light culling system and a Lighting Details slider in the graphic settings: all the way right means no culling, lower values deactivate lights by distance.
  • Older ingredients are now used first for meals, which reduces rotten food but may lower the food-freshness part of customer reviews.
  • Staff now prioritise tasks in this order: serve a meal, process ingredient, make meal, take new order, deliver ingredients (Manager), buy ingredients (Manager), manage complaint (Manager), cleanup meal, cleanup trash (Cleaner), cleanup storage (Cleaner). The developer says this encourages specialisation and that single-staff venues will likely leave many customers unserved if there are too many seats.
  • Graphic settings: the Low texture quality setting was removed (players on Low move to Medium) and a confirmation popup now appears when changing texture quality.
  • Overwriting a save no longer loses the previous save if the game crashes unexpectedly; the Kitchen Buffet is now a storage unit (100 normal and 50 refrigerated).
  • Known issue: fast travel to certain locations can affect performance for some systems.

Update #1

· Steam announcement

First post-launch patch with performance work and bug fixes.

  • Various performance improvements for character actions, animations and physics.
  • Improved the workflow for staff taking orders and manager behaviour when buying ingredients; fixed business and barter skill levelling.
  • Improved the boat's visibility from the cockpit and added support for lower mouse sensitivity.
  • Fixed the camera causing performance to get worse each time a save was loaded, and fixed castling in chess matches when the king is under check.
  • Known issue: the quest log text can become illegible after it has been hidden for some time; reloading the save fixes it.
