  • Fixed some players' Early Access status not being recognized at login, and issues with in-game purchases; no downtime, the client updates on the next restart.
  • The team said it is aware of account linking issues and is looking into them.

A 1.5-hour maintenance to fix a bottleneck when interacting with objects in certain quests.

  • Maintenance on September 30 at 23:00 PDT (October 1, 08:00 CEST), all services affected, about 1.5 hours.
  • Addressed the bottleneck in Hero Quests in Northern Tolbas Forest, Eastern Tolbas Forest and Altamia Highland (Elyos) and in Basfelt Ruins, Purifying Forest, Fafnite Deposit and Impetusium Square (Asmodian).

When does AION 2 launch globally?

The developer's schedule gives October 5, 2026 at 6 AM PDT (13:00 UTC), after Advanced Access for Founder's Pack owners from September 30 to October 4. Steam lists the release as October 5, 2026.

Is AION 2 free to play?

Yes. The developer's Launch FAQ says it is free to play with an optional monthly membership, plus optional paid cosmetics and a Battle Pass.

Is there an official AION 2 code?

Yes. The developer posted the coupon code TAKEFLIGHTAION2 on September 30, valid from October 1 until October 13, 11:00 PM PDT (NA) or October 14, 08:00 CEST (EU), one redemption per account, with bound items. Check the announcement before redeeming.

Can I play solo, and what about controllers?

Yes, it can be played solo or with friends. The FAQ says it is playable with a controller but controller support is not official.

Do Steam and Purple players share servers?

Yes, the FAQ says Steam and Purple players share the same servers and the in-game content is the same.

Will my progress from the Taiwan or Korea versions carry over?
