1.4.1

· Steam announcement

A hotfix for two problems that the 1.4.0 update introduced: a blocked quest step and broken dash momentum.

  • Fixed players being unable to progress The Park Resonant quest because eating the Mold, a required quest step, had become impossible.
  • Fixed dash canceling while using Elevate: a movement bug fix in 1.4.0 had accidentally stopped dash momentum from carrying over into Surge.

1.4.0

· Steam announcement

Adds New Game++ with unlimited runs and a set of quality-of-life options, with many bug, quest and performance fixes. The developer says it contains thousands of changes and lists only the ones it considers notable.

  • New Game++: you can now play an unlimited number of New Game++ runs.
  • Loadout screen now shows the Build Power number; the HUD shows a notification icon when there is something to buy or upgrade in The Gap.
  • Pinned upgrade materials now show on the Map whether the Vendor sells them.
  • The Unknown Zone has 10-15% less combat intensity overall.
  • New options: a separate volume slider for radio dialogue, a Power Core Charge Duration multiplier of 100-300% in Assist Mode, and a Mute copyrighted music option for the intro credits song.
  • Added a tutorial about the Rush ability removing status effects, support for Razer haptics, and performance optimizations aimed at the PC minimum and recommended specs.
  • Many fixes to map markers that stayed too long or sat in the wrong place, plus crash fixes across all platforms.
  • Many quest and progression fixes, listed in the quest and progression section below.
